The Reverend Neil Riches MA

Neil trained for the ministry in Oxford and Cardiff. His first pastorate was in Newport, South Wales. After a number of years in school chaplaincy in Blackburn, he served as the minister of Christ Church URC in South Manchester for eight years, before moving to Carrs Lane in March 2006.

He is interested in the current debate on 'fresh expressions' of church and is exploring some of the implications of this thinking with folk at Carrs Lane. He is also a keen ecumenist and believes that the future of Carrs Lane must be considered against the broader backdrop of the whole Christian community in the centre of Birmingham.
