Healing Ministry

Stained Glass WindowThe ministry of healing forms an important strand in the life of Carrs Lane.  Throughout his ministry, Jesus showed concern for ‘wholeness’; and Christian faith impacts on every part of human life – body, mind and spirit.

In a sense, every act of worship offers a healing experience, but a number of regular activities offer an opportunity to focus on this particular ministry.

Prayers for Healing and the Laying on of Hands are central to the service which takes place at 4.30pm on the third Sunday of each month

Specific prayers for healing are offered also at the Wednesday lunchtime communion service and during a Wednesday evening prayer meeting which takes place each month

Prayer lists help people to be disciplined in the exercise of this ministry, and letters and cards are sent to those for whom we pray.

This ministry is not about ‘quick-fix’ solutions or noisy services; nor is it an attempt to control the mind of God.  Rather, it is offered gently and faithfully in the knowledge that the Spirit of God moves in ways that we cannot fathom fully – and in the knowledge that prayers have been answered, sometimes unexpectedly and movingly.

If you wish to request prayers for your concerns, we'd be honoured to receive them.  There is a form you can complete and send through to us, either anonymously or with your name.
