Room Details By Capacity
View all our rooms, listed below from largest to smallest. Look down the list, or use the links on the left to view rooms in a given size range, or for accessibility.
Following the complete refurbishment of our lower ground floor in 2011, we now have bright new Rooms 1 2 and 3, with maximum (theatre-style) capacities of 30, 15, and 20 respectively. Normally reached via the main Reception foyer above, they can be accessed directly at ground level if necessary (detailed information on rooms with disabled access page). There is also a small informal seating area for general use (right). See News item for details of this refurbishment. The Lounge and Room 4 are also on this level, and accessed the same way.
The capacious Church Room on the upper ground floor is just inside our main entrance, at street level. Finally there are two good-sized meeting rooms on the floor above, which unfortunately are only accessible by the stairs.
Capacities used to put rooms into size ranges are: for the Church Room and Upper Foyer, theatre capacity; for the Lounge, informal seating capacity; for Room 4, only the boardroom capacity; for other rooms, both theatre and boardroom capacities (so they may appear in two groups).
Other layouts are available, and capacities may be lower if catering or equipment is required. So you need to discuss your requirements with our bookings team on (0121) 643 6151. We offer a friendly and professional service that can be tailored to meet your needs.
Sessions for all rooms are 09.00 - 12.45; 13.15 - 17.00; 18.00 - 21.30 Day is 09.00 - 17.00
Church Room
Large multi-purpose room seating up to 350. On the main floor with level access from Moor Street Ringway (apart from the small balcony). The main area seating is all moveable, so the room is very flexible. There's more to tell you, so please go to the Church Room page.
Upper Foyer
Seats 90 theatre style (80 if catering is ordered). Upper floor room, not accessible by wheelchair. Windows overlooking Dale Gardens and Moor Street Ringway. It combines the Bertha Wright and Margaret Rowland rooms across the intervening corridor.
Bertha Wright Room
Seats 50 theatre style, 24 boardroom style. Upper floor room, not accessible by wheelchair. Window overlooking Dale Gardens.
Margaret Rowland Room
Seats 30 theatre style, 20 boardroom style. Upper floor room, not accessible by wheelchair. Window overlooking Moor Street and the Bullring, and another looking over to Dale Gardens beyond the foyer.
Lounge
Informal room for up to 20 people, with sofas and comfortable chairs. Accessible at street level (but an outside trip to another entrance for the disabled toilet - no stairs). There's more to tell you, so please go to the Lounge page.
Meeting Room 4
Seats 10 boardroom style. Disabled access at street level. Only available for daytime sessions.
