Overview

Disabled parking on site is available by prior booking. There are also some disabled parking spaces beside Marks & Spencer on the opposite side of Carrs Lane (approachable only from Dale End), but they may be full.

The building, which was opened in 1970, presents some access difficulties which we have tried hard to overcome with various alterations and additions.

Lower Ground Floor: Meeting Rooms 1-4 Disabled access (only) is through the Counselling Centre door at the New Meeting Street end of our street-level car park at the back of the Church Centre. There is a Disabled Entry call button and intercom to the Reception staff in the office above, who will arrange for someone to let you in. (It may be helpful if the office and someone in your group know that you will be coming this way.) There is level access to a disabled toilet (and other toilets) from these rooms.

Lower Ground Floor: Lounge Disabled access is through the main door in the middle of our street-level car park at the back of the Church Centre. There is no level access to the toilets from this room; you have to go outside and in through the Counselling Centre door as described above. (Other toilets are accessible up the inside stairs.)

Ground Floor: Church Room, Fair Trade Shop and Reception Disabled access is by a short ramp from Moor Street Ringway to our main entrance. The Ladies and Gents toilets on this floor each have a cubicle intended for wheelchair users, but you may require assistance to make your way through the entrance doors.

Upper Floor: Upper Foyer, Bertha Wright Room, Margaret Rowland Room We regret that the design of the building makes it impossible to provide wheelchair access to these rooms.

Rooms Accessible from Street Level

Church Room: Large multi-purpose room seating up to 350. On the main floor with level access from Moor Street Ringway (apart from the small balcony). The main area seating is all moveable, so the room is very flexible. There's more to tell you, so please go to the Church Room page.
Meeting Room 1: Seats 30 theatre style, 20 boardroom style. Disabled access at street level.
Lounge: Informal room for up to 20 people, with sofas and comfortable chairs. Accessible at street level (but an outside trip to another entrance for the disabled toilet - no stairs). There's more to tell you, so please go to the Lounge page.
Meeting Room 3: Seats 18 theatre style, 14 boardroom style. Disabled access at street level.
Meeting Room 2: Seats 15 theatre style, 10 boardroom style. Disabled access at street level.
Meeting Room 4: Seats 10 boardroom style. Disabled access at street level. Only available for daytime sessions.
