1.  How do we book a room?

The most effective and direct way is to phone (0121) 643 6151 between 9 and 5, Monday to Friday, to speak to one of our helpful dedicated team.  They'll be able to discuss with you in detail the best possible options.  Alternatively, complete our contact form and provide a telephone number, and they'll get back to you.

2.  We've not booked a room here before, do we have to do anything special?

If your organisation or branch is new to the Centre, you'll need to complete a New Client Application form before you can book.  You can request a form from our staff by calling (0121) 643 6151 between 9 and 5, Monday to Friday, or completing the contact form.  To book a room, you'll then have to proceed as explained in Question 1.

3.  What does it mean by maximum capacity?

It is the maximum number of people possible to have safely and sensibly in each room.  If you make the most of any of our equipment or catering offers, this number will decrease.  The booking team will be able to help you work out which combination of facilities and resources you need.

4.  Do room hire and other prices include VAT?

Hire of rooms does not attract VAT here.  Hire of equipment, and catering services, do attract VAT, and our price lists show prices without and with VAT at the rate for that period.

5.  Can we arrange our own catering or bring sandwiches?

We offer a wide range of catering options, but if you wish to supply your own, you can do so by prior arrangement.  As any catering or eating involves extra caretaking work, there is a cover charge of £1 per person, even if you just bring your own snacks.  It is not possible to use any area outside your booked rooms as dining or eating space.

6.  Can we park at the Church Centre?

No, but there are many public car parks close by. (We have a small private car park for disabled use, by prior arrangement.)  We're also excellently served by public transport, and it is easy to find us on foot.  For full information on parking and transport, visit our travel page.

7.  What are the session times?

The morning session is from 09:00 to 12:45; afternoon from 13:15 to 17:00; and evening from 18:00 - 21:30.  A day booking is from 09:00 to 17:00. If your use of the room is likely to exceed those times, please speak to our staff, who will be able to help you.

8.  Are all rooms fully accessible?

Rooms on the lower and main floors are fully accessible, however rooms on the upper floor are accessed only via a staircase.  Click on these links to see which rooms are on each level. (For detailed information on accessibility see the rooms with disabled access page).
