Change of Centre Manager

Andrew Veitch after retirement serviceChurch Centre Manager Andrew Veitch retired at the end of February 2009.  He had guided the Centre through a period of considerable change and development.  Large parts of the building have been upgraded, and some adapted to new uses.  New legal requirements have had to be met, and operating procedures have been improved.  Use of the Centre by outside organisations has greatly increased; and the activities of Carrs Lane United Reformed Church and other churches using the Centre have been faithfully cared for.  We are grateful to Andrew for his efforts in helping to make all this come about.  We wish him and Jill a long and happy retirement, and look forward to their future involvement with Carrs Lane.

Andrew's farewell to congregation

Manager - Derek Cotterill

We welcome Derek Cotterill (right) as our new Church Centre Manager.

He joins us after 16 years at Birmingham City Mission, for the last 7 of which he managed their hostel for homeless men and women, and in recent years oversaw all their work with the homeless.
