Some Centre Tenants
The Church Centre originally included 12 flats built to house student married couples from overseas, which, although important at the time, were no longer needed for this purpose. There were also extensive back offices for the ground floor bookshop, some of which became redundant.
Now a number of independent organisations, with an emphasis on serving the community, are based in the former flats and offices, and elsewhere in the Centre. Here are details of some of our tenants, who wished to be included on our website.
After 13 years at Carrs Lane, the Dyslexia Association of Birmingham organisation and office closed in April 2013. Callers phoning the office now hear a message suggesting they try the British Dyslexia Association Helpline on 0845 251 9002, which is open 10am - 4pm Mondays to Fridays, 5pm - 7pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays, (term-time only).
